Exploring the value of creative writing in caring for ourselves and others

Words in the Wood

15 June 2026

Hazel Hill Wood
Grimstead Road, Farley, near Salisbury SP5 1AU

A day of guided creative writing exercises and sharing our writing, in a beautiful woodland, with other like-minded professionals.  We have the use of stunning indoor and outdoor spaces, fire circle, walks in the wood, time to be both alone and together.

Everyone is welcome, but it might be of particular interest to people working in personal development and/or the caring professions:, such as counsellors, psychotherapists, medical professionals, wellbeing practitioners, and coaches.

Words in the Woods with Caroline Hiking

“I took part in the Woods in the Woods workshop with a group of inspirational people all there to relax and enjoy the therapy of writing openly and freely.

Highly recommend this workshop for anyone looking for a day of contemplation, trying new ways or working and gathering thoughts.

The setting was idyllic with a barn for hot drinks and delicious home made cakes, and warming fires at every clearing where we gathered to write.

Thank you to Caroline and the team for facilitating such a well structured event.”
